A recurring ignition miss
knocked the WBR #47 out of the
running at the AutoDealer
Magazine PASS event at Speedway
95 on Sunday, August 22nd.
The engine problem started in
practice and limited Corey to
posting a 36th fastest lap in
time trials. Running reasonably
well in Heat #2, Corey moved
from 9th to 5th - and just
missed being part of wreck when
cars tried to go three wide
through turn four but wound up
crashing into the tires at
start/finish. The #47 started
both the conci and the B main in
last postion, but Corey had to
pull back into the pits both
times with the car barely
running. The B main paid points
- continuing the count down of 2
points per position from the
feature - so Corey left with 152
points after another long day.
