A long haul to Halifax, Nova
Scotia, a tough track to learn,
and a series of problems to
tackle made the August 13th and
14th Atlantic CAT 250 one long
event for Williams Brothers
racing.
A different car with a
new look had an overheating
problem develop early on that
limited practice laps on a
tricky track that is difficult
to master. Keeping down in turns
one & two and making the brakes
last under high demand are some
of the challenges of the Scotia
oval.
Corey posted a 14.311
during Friday evening's time
trials for 20th position and a
fifth place starting spot in the
second heat. A spin in turn two
in the heat dropped the 47 to
7th.
On Sunday the race program
started with a long autograph
session with the PASS cars lined
up on the main straight and the
fans meeting the drivers. The
feature was a short one for
Corey as the overheating
began almost immediately, and
the #47 was pushed down pit lane
to the dead car park after just
sixteen laps.
