The Banknorth 250 was a chance to play
with the "really big boys" and learn
from the best in Pro Stocks. The #47
didn't make the show but the learning
process was great. The car was good all
weekend but the draw of 78th (out of 87
cars) put Corey in the 10th starting
position of the 6th heat.
Sam Sessions # 0 was behind the #47 and
the game plan was to let
him go and follow the #0 to the front
because Sammy was going to be fast. But
on the first lap the rear end started to
let go. It spit off the
power steering belt. Corey had to drive
the heat , the conci and the 50 lap Last
Chance Qualifier with no power
steering.
Corey was pleased with the LCQ because
the #47 started last and finished about
7th. The car was in one piece and Corey
had some
valuable seat time with the big boys. He
is doing great and is on task
for the season. Next up: the PASS race
at White Mountain on 7/24.
